The truth is in the details

I have always found it amusing when people, referring to special experiences (trips, friendships, moments, etc.), say “this is the only thing we will take with us”...

I have never understood this phrase (unless you are a believer)...

Whether I spend the whole day on the couch watching series, playing Candy Crush, climbing mountains, traveling every day or never traveling, having sex or not... we all take the same thing with us: nothing.

Therefore, there are no things more worthwhile than others because they transcend the rest... Everything transcends to the same place: the trash bin of history. Like the millions of photos we take with new devices that no one looks at beyond a few days, hours, minutes, or seconds after taking them...

Look, it’s a phrase I don’t share, even though it’s used automatically, without having to search for a literal meaning...
